Enough No 1
My to-do list is full of items like:
clean floors
do something about the looming pile of laundry
buy groceries
organize the kid’s toys
As I came to terms with the ceaselessness of housekeeping, some questions bubbled up…
Am I only as good as the shine of my freshly mopped floors? Am I a bad mom if there’s always a pile of laundry waiting to be folded? Am I allowed to sit down and read a book if my sinks need to be scrubbed?
This piece, entitled 'Enough,' encapsulates a dual narrative. It explores the art of embracing stillness and restoration, even amidst the cacophony of unfinished tasks. Simultaneously, it delves into the profound journey of discovering one's intrinsic value beyond the realm of productivity.
